Diagnostic healthcare is notoriously poorly designed. Small, illegible text – 95% of the time completely typeset in Arial, overly bright or awkwardly neutral color palettes, and stock photography that one can only hope was taken as some sort of cruel joke by the photographer.
With [redacted]'s HPV Test family of sites – one for physicians, one for lab technicians, and one for patients – along with a physician-focused iOS application, a more inviting, modern take on the traditional 'health care' site was taken. A fantastic cool color palette of greens, purples, and blues along side a mix of contemporary serif (Noto) and sans-serif (Open Sans) type-faces really raises the aesthetic bar in the diagnostic space. Oh, and a custom, matching set of icons were designed for each individual segment just for good measure.
